COCONUT SEED FROM CLEAN COCONUT FARMS VEGAN
A single coconut palm may yield 100 coconuts annually, and each fruit requires a year to fully ripen. Mature coconuts, ovoid or ellipsoid in shape, 300–450 mm (12–18 inches) in length and 150–200 mm (6–8 inches) in diameter, have a thick fibrous husk surrounding the familiar single-seeded nut of commerce.
Uses
Besides the edible kernels and the drink obtained from green nuts, the harvested coconut also yields copra, the dried extracted kernel, or meat, from which coconut oil, a major vegetable oil, is expressed. The Philippines and Indonesia lead in copra production, and throughout the South Pacific copra is one of the most important export products. The meat may also be grated and mixed with water to make coconut milk, which is used in cooking and as a substitute for cow’s milk. The dry husk yields coir, a fiber highly resistant to salt water and used in the manufacture of ropes, mats, baskets, brushes, and brooms.
Coconut was once maligned by dietitians. Take coconut milk, for instance, which is made from the liquid from grated meat. One cup has 552 calories and 57 grams (g) of fat (yes, you read that right). What’s more, nearly 90 percent of that fat (50 g) is saturated fat.

Can Eating Coconut Help You Lose Weight?
Coconut for weight loss is still the stuff of lore, despite what tons of dubious health sites may say. Until more research is done and proves otherwise, you shouldn’t consider coconut a magic elixir for weight loss. What’s more, if you freely eat coconut oil (or other coconut products) believing it will help you lose weight, you can easily take in more calories than your body needs and gain weight.
